Welcome to my low salt life. This is my new normal.

Being diagnosed with heart failure was a massive shock. One of the first things I was advised to do was change the way I eat.
Bye bye beloved potato chips, bye bye ‘easy option’ take aways and sneaky drive thru dinners.
Hello to more fresh, vibrant, flavourful home cooking.
Every day is now a low salt life day, and I want to keep feeling as good as I do now, so there’s no way around it.
I’m learning to embrace and enjoy it.
This new normal is something I want to blog about, but I don’t want I Give You The Verbs to change into an all loso all the time blog. Loso = low sodium. It took me a while to work that one out!
I’m experimenting with a new blog category, let’s see how it goes. I’d love your feedback as I find my feet.
So that I don’t bore my IGYTV Instagram followers, I’ve started a new Instagram account, @mylowsaltlife.
I’ll be sharing things I’m learning as I change the way I shop, cook and eat. It’s all uncharted territory, but territory I’m eager to explore. I’d love you to follow me, or recommend the feed to anyone you know who might be facing their own new normal.
Reading about my low salt life won’t be for everyone, I’m cool with that. If I can inspire anyone to glance at a food label and pay a little attention to how much sodium they are unwittingly consuming, great!
I hereby promise not to become an earnest, un-fun “health blogger”. This isn’t a fad diet. It’s a way for me to stay heart healthy. Nothing I’ll share here will be expert advice. I will share what I learn, as I go.
Finding flavour beyond the salt shaker.
That’s my new mantra.
Catchy, huh?
I’ll write a post explaining how I got here soon.
In the meantime, step away from the salt & vinegar chips! #sorrynotsorry
Cheers,
Annette
